Who am I?
I am Alex, I live in Birmingham with my partner and cat. More importantly, I work as a life coach with people just like you!
I can help you realise your potential in a holistic, compassionate and solution focused way.
Through exploration of your dreams and goals, a solid plan of action and regular accountability check ins, together we will bring your dreams into reality.
For me, this all started with a common mistake!
My well-being journey actually started, like so many do, with a false belief that fixing what was going on outside would fix the struggle I had inside.
If you had met me in my early 20s you wouldn’t believe I would eventually become a life coach. I’ll save you the details, but some very unhappy years came to a head and through a new friendship and interest in exercise, I started reading and following well-being coaches and entrepreneurs. This interest turned into a job and I started my personal training business.
1, 2, skip a few, I had been working as personal trainer for a few years when through conversations with multiple clients, I realised that most people are struggling with similar things in life and exercise alone isn’t the answer.
So, collecting practices, tools and skills along the way I started transforming my coaching offer to focus on tackling those patterns I saw myself and others struggling with.
Fast forward a few years, a lot of mistakes, a fair few tears and now I help others avoid the false starts I went through!
“The goal is not to build the perfect life, but to have the tools to thrive in the imperfect moments.”
Why I do what I do.
My name is Alex, I'm an over thinker, a people pleaser and a perfectionist. These things used to dictate the direction of my life and it was pretty hard (it sometimes still is, but so much less often).
Not knowing how to work with these personality traits lead to some really dysfunctional coping mechanisms and to me being very much out of love with myself.
I believed (like you probably do), that it was just the way I was and I had no control over it, it was just bad luck!
Anyway, long story short, that's just not true!
We (that includes you) have all the power in the world, we just need to tap into it. It's hard work, I'm not going to lie, but it is worth it!
If you are where I was, I see you. I love you where you can't yet and I send you strength.
I hope today is the day you recognise just how powerful you are and start to make those changes.
